Brandon Mann
 - Hitting Instructor / Pitching Instructor

Brandon Mann is in his 4th year of coaching at the collegiate level. Fresh out of college in 2006, Coach Mann took the 1st assistant and pitching coach job at Division I Iona College. During his tenure at Iona College, Brandon mentored one All-Conference Pitcher and one PING National Pitcher of the week.

In 2008, Brandon took the Full-time graduate coaching position at Manhattanville College to pursue his master’s degree in physical education. On the field, Mann primarily works with the hitters and fielders. In his first season with the Valiants, Manhattanville hit .356 as a team on the way to the 2009 Freedom Conference regular-season title and a berth in the Freedom Tournament championship game. Manhattanville ranked top 20 in the country in every offensive category including leading the nation in stolen bases with 162 in 40 games. Manhattanville hit 23 HR’s and averaged more than 10 runs a game; both new MVILLE records.

Under Mann’s tutelage, five Valiants were named to the All-Conference team, two of which were named All-Region. Manhattanville’s CF who went on to sign a professional contract with the American Defenders of the Can-Am League also was honored as a Rawlings Gold Glove All-American.

Mann began his career as a pitcher at Florida Atlantic University and played with the nationally ranked Owls from 2002-04. In 2003, Mann helped the team rank as high as #11 in the nation, capturing the Atlantic Sun Championship in 2003 before the team lost to Miami in the NCAA Coral Gables regional.

In 2004, Mann transferred to Lynn University (the 2009 DII National Champions) where he was the starting second baseman, while studying hospitality administration.

In 2006, he was honored as an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American for the south region while helping the team reach the south regionals. As a second baseman, Mann helped the team lead the nation by turning 69 double plays in 2006.

As a captain of the 2002 Clarkstown North state championship team, Coach Mann was named New York State Player and Athlete of the Year in 2002. Mann also led the 2002 Rockland OTB Pirates to the American Legion World Series in Danville, VA, finishing 5th in the country and losing to the eventual champions Mississippi. Brandon was recently elected into Clarkstown North’s Hall of Fame.   

Brandon is also the Co-Owner and Head Instructor of Pitch by Pitch Baseball Camp in Congers, NY.


Will Cunnane - MLB Pitching Instructor

RBI is proud to announce its latest pitching instructor.  Former MLB pitcher Will Cunnane has joined the staff at RBI Sports. If you ever wanted to be trained by an ex Major League Pitcher now is your chance. Will's schedule will fill up fast do not hesitate with this once in a lifetime opportunity to train and learn from the best.

Will, originally from Congers, NY, signed with the Florida Marlins as a free agent in 1992 out of high school. After 4 years in the minors, Cunnane made his major league debut with the San Diego Padres in 1997. Will spent 4 years with the Padres before playing another 4 years with the Brewers, Cubs, and Braves.
 
Cunnane was primarily a reliever in the Majors with 184 appearances along with 12 starts. Will was part of the Padres NL West pennant in 1998. He also contributed to a pair of National League East Division titles with the Braves in 2003 and 2004, including appearances in 2 NLDS games. Cunnane learned under pitching coaches Leo Mazzone, Dan Warthen, Dave Stewart, Larry Rothschild, Bob Apodaca, & Dave Smith.


Megan DeLalla - Pitching Instructor  

My name is Megan DeLalla and I have been pitching since I was 10 years old. I graduated North Rockland High School in 2001, receiving numerous athletic awards throughout my softball career. Some of these include MVP, Athlete of the Month, All League, All Section, All County, and All Conference.

I also won the MVP award for the James Ace Morabito Tournament and was awarded Pitcher of the Year in 2001.  I left North Rockland as the head pitcher with a winning record of 27-5 in my two and a half year career on Varsity.  

I attended two very competitive softball leagues in college: Binghamton University, a Division I school,
then Saint Thomas Aquinas College, a Division II school,
where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Social Sciences. Here, I continued my winning record and won Scholar Athlete awards.


When I am not teaching my Autistic Preschool class, you can find me on the softball field! I have been providing private pitching instruction for 8 years now,
and more recently, I have partnered up with a friend of mine to host clinics focusing on several softball skills throughout the county.
  


Chad Duesler - Speciality: Catching / Hitting/ Strength and Conditioning

Chad Duesler is a graduate of Dominican College in 2006. Chad played at Dominican College for 4 years. Duesler compiled a .340 career batting average at Dominican with a 133 hits, 98 RBI's and 24 Doubles. In the 2005 season Duesler was named MVP of the ECAC Baseball Tournament.

After graduating Duesler went back to College to become the Associate coach with Rick Giannetti. He was brought into the program to be the head recruiting coordinator and deal mainly with the hitters and the catchers on the team. In Duesler's 4 years as the Catching coach for the Chargers, he helped Pete Gilardo fulfill his dreams of getting drafted in the 45th round in 2007 by the Boston Red Sox.

In the off season Duesler serves as the strength and conditioning instructor for the chargers baseball program as well. 

Erik Lazerus - Baseball Instructor

Erik’s baseball career starts with California State University Northridge- Division 1, Los Angeles Mission Junior College, and California State University, Chico- Division 2.

Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1996 . Erik played minor league-AA minor league baseball, claiming the Western League Champions spot in 1997. Erik finished his baseball career with the Dodgers in 1999.

Erik’s baseball career continued as a Head Coach and Instructor in Campbell Hall School in North Hollywood Ca for the Junior High Boys Baseball team. Erik has also instructed in the following programs, All Pro Academy, NJ; Back to Basics Camp.


Bobby Blevins - Pitching Instructor

High School:
Played for head coach John Consorti at Briarcliff High School. Named to first team all-state in his junior and senior seasons. Tossed two perfect games and two no-hitters for Briarcliff. Posted 39 career victories. Went 26.2 innings without allowing a hit and 55.2 innings without allowing an earned run. Had a 0.00 ERA during his senior regular season. Also a two-time first team all-state selection in football.
LeMoyne College:
Finished four-year stint with Le Moyne College (NCAA Division 1) in 2007 where he compiled a 32-13 record with a 3.17 ERA.  Was selected in that same year by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 13th round of the MLB draft.  Program's leader in career victories with 23. Recognized by Collegiate Baseball as a Player to Watch. All-MAAC Selection by Baseball America. Projected as Pitcher of the Year by Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America.
2004:
Named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team. Recognized as MAAC Rookie of the Year. One of only two pitchers to start in every game that he appeared in. Recorded a 2.93 earned run average.
2006: Appeared in and started fourteen games...went 10-2 with a 2.57 earned run average. First team all-MAAC selection. Recorded program-best 95 strikeouts in 98 innings pitched. Limited opposing batters to a .219 batting average. Received national acclaim after recording 32 strikeouts in back-to-back two-hit shutouts on April 24 (St. Peter's 14 K's) and April 29 (Cansius 18 K's) in what Collegiate Baseball Newspaper dubbed one of the best weeks ever by a collegiate pitcher.
Los Angeles Dodgers:
Selected by the Dodgers in the 13th round of the June 2007 First-Year Player Draft. Made his pro debut late in 2007 with the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League.  Went 3-3 with a 3.49 ERA. Was Named Pitcher Of the Year.  Moved up the Dodgers’ ranks and played for the Great Lakes Loons from ‘08-‘09 where he went a total of 13-17 with a 3.56 ERA while compiling 154 strikeouts and was Ranked as one of the Top 50 Prospects. In 2010 he made his A+, AA and AAA debuts, respectively. Came one step away from Major Leagues.
Rockland Boulders:
In 2011 continued his Professional Career by Playing for the Rockland Boulders in Can-Am League where he led the League in Complete games (6) and came within two outs of leading League in innings pitched 131.0 (league leader 131.2).
 


Jason Cannici - Pitching Instructor 


Jason played college ball at Manhattan College (Div. I ) as a starting pitcher.  Recorded first ever win against Marist College in Florida in the 1996 season.  Pitched 2 years in a very competitive MAAC Conference.  A rotator cuff injury forced him out of college baseball.

 

 

Determined to back into the game, Cannici spent the last 12 years coaching baseball in Bergen County New Jersey.  Started career at Bogota High School (99-02) as Varsity Baseball Coach in which he turned program around making two state playoff appearances as well as a County Tournament bid.  In 2002, he received Coach of the Year in the BCSL Olympic Division.

 

Currently, Jason is the Head Baseball Coach and Special Education Teacher at Dumont High School in Dumont, NJ.  He has won three consecutive league titles and has been named coach of the year in each season. (2007-2010).  The school’s last league championship was in 1988.  Cannici has coached against the premier schools in Bergen County including: Don Bosco, Bergen Catholic, Paramus Catholic and St. Joseph  Regional High School. 

 

 

Cannici has helped many of his players go on to the college level to play baseball.  “Pitching and defense wins games”---   Cannici believes the emphasis with pitchers should be on the “fundamental mechanics”.  Looking at pitching mechanics is a key aspect of overall pitching improvement so they reach their full potential and remain injury free.



Brittany Sheppard - Softball Instructor

Brittany Sheppard is a 2007 graduate of Paramus Catholic High School where she was the captain of the varsity softball team. As a valuable pitcher and shortstop, she led her team to a winning season while also accomplishing many goals of her own. She was named Bergen County Athlete Of The Week by the Bergen Record and received other various MVP, All-State, All-County, and All-League awards.

Brittany played for the New Jersey Breakers Gold and also the New Jersey Pride Gold. While traveling the county and participating in numerous college showcases, she decided to stay local and went on to play at Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck on a full scholarship. She graduated early while remaining on the Dean’s List and enjoys spending her time giving back to the sport that blessed her with so much. Skilled in all aspects of the game she is available for Pitching, Fielding, Hitting, and Slapping Lessons.
  

 


Mike Amendola

Mike was a outstanding Baseball Player at Clarkstown South High School  & Rockland Community College. He currently is the Head Varsity Coach at Yonkers H.S. Mike plays Semi Pro Baseball for The New City Outlaws.

A little history about Mike.

In 2005 Mike was Rockland County assistant coach of the year.

4 time Rockland County freshman champions (career record at Suffern High School 110 -18).

In 2011 Mike guided  Yonkers public high school to a  (17-5) #4 seed class a section 1 playoffs Mike was named "COACH OF THE YEAR"

5 time Westchester Rockland Wood Bat League champion

6 time  Westchester Rockland Wood Bat League  ALL STAR.

Mike's approach to the game of baseball is excellent.  Mike teaches the fundamentals of hitting and fielding to all ages. My goal is to help players succeed in hitting and fielding, to get them on to the next level of competition.


Anthony Coladonato - Softball Hitting Instructor

Anthony Coladonato has been coaching travel softball for the past 15 years with the NY Panthers out of Staten Island NY. He also has been involved with the NJ Venom out of Bridgewater NJ for the past 2 years.  His college coaching experience started in 2009 at Queens College as an asst softball coach under Head Coach Brian DeMasters. He stayed there for 3 years before leaving and becoming the asst coach/ hitting instructor at Dominican College under head Coach Joseph Burbridge this past fall.  Anthony's goal is to always make young softball players better and yet find a way to make them enjoy working hard as well. He strives to prepare girls for the next level of their softball experience, whether it be for travel ball, high school, and eventually the collegiate level.


Michael Nassisi - Pitching / Hitting Instructor - Current Pitching Coach at Nyack College

At Nyack High School Michael Nassisi made all league SS as a sophomore and all section SS as a senior.  Michael went on to D-II Rockland Community College to become the team’s closer as a freshman, where he would convert 7 of 7 save opportunities with a 1.50 ERA.  As a sophomore at Rockland, Michael made all-region CF and helped lead Rockland to back to back league championships. 

Michael moved to Chico, CA to pursue coaching and playing baseball.  In summer of 2008, he helped coached the Chico Suns, a 16-17 year old American Legion team to 2nd place in the northern California state. 

In the spring Michael was the assistant coach for Chico High School’s varsity baseball team in the spring.  That summer Michael won Rookie of The Year for the Semi-Pro, Nor Cal Pirates who won both the Chico (C.A.R.D.) league and P.W.B.L. (Pacific West Baseball League) Championships.  Nor Cal Pirates finished the Spring/Summer season with a record of 45-21 and Michael was the team’s starting 3rd baseman, leadoff hitter and the #4 pitcher in the rotation.  

In 33 games Michael posted a .342 BA, .420 OBP, 26 runs, 18 RBI, 1 HR and 15 SB.  As a pitcher he pitched in 33.1 innings, posted a 5-1 record with 1 save, 16 Ks, and a 3.24 ERA.
